Thank you for visiting South Atlanta Highschool's JROTC website. JROTC is a cadet led program that provides achievement which offers resources, facilities, atmosphere for each student to develop and reach his or her potential. Based upon the analysis of data, South Atlanta JROTC will implement strategies to achieve the following goals.
Goal 1: Discipline - To increase the discipline within the battalion.
We as JROTC cadets feel as if discipline is a very important part of JROTC. This is one thing that helps hold JROTC together, and without discipline we donot have a respectable battalion. Over the next few months we will be working extremely hard to make sre we achieve this goal.
Goal 2 : Participation - Toincrease involvement in JROTC's events and teams outside of the classroom.
Over the years participation has been a struggle for our battalion, but this year we will make sure this does not happen. We intend on making sure our cadets attend events. We will let our cadets know that JROTC can be enjoyable in many different ways if they just participate. We will make sure that our battalion will exceed in this goal as well as our other goals.
Goal 3 : Uniform - To guide cadets on how to properly and respectfully wear the JROTC uniform.
This goal is also very important because it shows how we present ourselves asa bitallion. We do not want to see our cadets disresoecting the uniform or wearing it impropely because they don't know. This issues will be addressed in a proper manner. We will make sure that our cadets look presentable and represent the HORNETS well.
Goal 4 : Star Unit Award - To de destinguished as a Silver Unit by earning at least an 85 on overall inspection.
We as a battalion will make sure that this goal is greatly achieved. We would like our battalion to be outstanding in every inspection we have. Each and every inspection will be accounted for and taken with care. We will make sure our battalion is represented well inbecoming a Silver Unit.

PURPOSE
The purpose of JROTC is to teach our cadets how to take on great responsibility. Also to help them grow as a leader and contain discipline. Discipline is a enormus part of JROTC it helps your child to understand the importance of being respectful, as well as how to carry themselves as a leader not a follower. JROTC is a program where students can be leaded to do better in academics and themselves.
